Vacation 2020 - Part 2

We arrived in Breckenridge and found our home for the week. It was a 400 square foot cabin. It ended up being perfect for us. The resort was about half tiny houses and half RV spaces. There were some really fancy RVs parked there and it was nice and quiet for walking Kat and Gus every day.

On the first day, we took the pups for a ride on the Breckenridge gondola. Because Gus is afraid of elevators, we weren’t sure he would get on the gondola.

Kat got on the gondola first, then I fell in (literally, I tripped getting on and about fell on top of Kat), and then Gus and David got on without any problems. We had the gondola to ourselves. At first it seemed like Kat liked it.

Gus seemed good too.

The gondola stops twice on the way to the top. The first stop went okay but then Kat decided she was going to try to get off at every stop. She was done with it. We ended up not getting off at the top because we weren’t sure we could get her back on. Here she is trying to convince David to let her get off.

Gus remained a good trooper and took it all in stride.

After we rode the gondola, we went back to the cabin and got settled in. Gus really got settled in.

We did our standard first-night meal - pizza! We have started the tradition of picking up pizza on the first night of vacation so the pups can get used to their new home before we kennel them to go out to eat. Plus they needed to fuel up on pizza crust before we started hiking. I’ll post about hiking next time.
