Disney World Part 2
On our first full day at Disney, we went to Hollywood Studios. This was our main stop because of the new Star Wars attraction.
We started the day with breakfast at The Wave at the Contemporary. I had the sweet potato pancakes which were delicious! They weren’t strongly sweet potato flavored but very light and fluffy with a pecan butter. Highly recommend.
Next we hopped the bus to Hollywood Studios so we could be in the park as soon as the boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance opened at 10 AM. We were able to snag a boarding group and while we waited for our turn, we wandered around Galaxy’s Edge. David enjoyed checking out the spaceships.
He also nicely took a selfie of us by the Millennium Falcon.
We rode Smuggler’s Run. I was the pilot and David was the gunner. We managed not to crash, so I guess I’m a good spaceship pilot!
We had lunch at Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy’s Edge. I had the Impossible meatballs with hummus. It was really good.
We also had to try the blue and green milks at the Milk Stand. We liked the blue milk the best.
After Galaxy’s Edge, we rode Toy Story Mania a few times. That’s my favorite thing in Hollywood Studios. While we waited for another ride, we saw Mickey drive by.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad is a new ride and that was our longest line of the day. It was fun and the graphics they have on the ride is amazing.
We went back to Docking Bay 7 for supper so David could do some last minute shopping. The balcony of the restaurant is a good spot for pictures.
This time I had the salad with chicken. It was good but had a little too much dressing.
We were pretty tired after the day in the park, so we headed back to the resort, but before we went to our room, we had to stop at the cafe for bedtime cupcakes. We got the Cinderella cupcake and the monorail cupcake. Both were delicious. I love the Disney World snacks!
