Birthday pie

After Kari and the girls visited, Mom and Dad came down to see the new house and to celebrate my birthday. 

It was the perfect excuse for going to the LBJ library. It was very interesting and really showcases all the laws that were passed when LBJ was president and how those continue to improve life today. While at the library, LBJ gave David a piece of his mind.

Mom made me a blackberry pie for my birthday and we also made some homemade strawberry ice cream. 

Even the pups got in on the festivities!

As a reward for wearing party hats, they got some ice cream too.  

It was a good birthday. Thanks Mom and Dad for coming to visit!
