It’s a cousin invasion!
I’m super behind on posts, but right after we moved, my sister and nieces came to checkout the new house. First up we had to get the new bunk beds. Aunt pro tip: if you want to be the best aunt, you dedicate a room in your house to your nieces and buy them bunk beds.
You also make sure to have a closet full of American Girls and assorted other toys.
We had a fun time. We made good use of the big yard to do a little slip and sliding.
Luckily Gus didn’t chew up the slip and slide. Back when we were kids, Kari got a Crocodile Mile for her birthday and the first time we played with it, our dog Spud chewed it up. I was happy not to have a repeat of that!
Special K and Kat also had some pool time.
Our new neighborhood doesn’t have a community pool or playground, so we had to go to the park to play and we also went to the water park. I apparently didn’t take pictures of that.
Kari and Special K did some back to school shopping one day. L was supposed to be taking a nap, but that lasted all of 20 minutes, so we went out and helped Uncle Dave organize the shop.
Even Gus got in on the entertaining action. He stepped into the big paws Steve left in the cousin department and let the girls make him beautiful. This had always been Steve’s area. Steve was a really good cousin.
We had a fun time and hope to have another cousin invasion soon!
