Happy birthday to us! Today marks our 6th birthday. Can you believe it? We have had a great day. First we opened our presents. Mom let us open them in bed because Dad didn't want to get up.
We each got new bones. Somewhere along the line we lost our nylabones, but now we have these new cool, minty, colorful bones.
We also got new collars. They are pretty snazzy and have our contact information engraved on the metal buckles.
Despite having our contact info on the buckles, we also go new name tags to go on our new collars. Mom has second thoughts about the new tags because she thinks they look like Olympic medals. Not that they are defective, she might have just ordered a size too big.
After opening our awesome presents, we settled into some chewing. Of course, Steve decided he wanted the pink bone and Kat decided to take the blue one.
After Kat sat staring at Dad, looking cute (see below),
he finally got up and we all four went on a 6.5 mile run. So fun! After that, we went apple picking with some of our new husky friends, but we will post about that later this week.
Once we got home, Mom gave us the pupcakes she made for us.
They were delicious!
Mom and Dad sang "happy birthday" to us while we ate. They really got into the spirit of the day. Thanks for sharing our birthday with us!
