Let's trot for some turkey

We went to see our Texas grandparents and family for Thanksgiving. Mom was excited because there was a turkey trot nearby. She's wanted to run a turkey trot for a while now. She double checked that dogs were allowed to trot and signed us up.

The morning of the trot, we drove to the starting line. No one was there. Apparently Mom doesn't know how to read because the trot was on Saturday morning, not Thanksgiving morning. I guess if you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself. Despite the lack of an official turkey trot, we were all dressed up with no race to run, so we ran our own turkey trot. Here we are at the end.

While we were trotting, we ran by the stores on Main Street in Fredericksburg, Texas. While there, we saw a store called Dogologie. It was closed on Thanksgiving, but we went back there the next day. It was a great store. Dad and I found this cool magnet.

I found these delicious treats.

We took our picture by the Nimitz museum. There is an interesting sculpture thing that looks like a submarine.

We also ate some turkey on Thanksgiving and made sure the deer didn't get too close to Grandma and Grandpa's fence, so I'd say it was a successful holiday!
