Gus’s Donut Adventure
Before I went to trial, I had some things to ship to Atlanta. The Sunday before I left, Gus and I loaded up the boxes into the Tacoma and headed downtown to drop them off at my office. Gus had been being a really good boy, putting up with a lot of abuse from Milton, so I thought he deserved a little solo attention.
Our first stop was Starbucks for a tea latte and puppuccino.
Once we got downtown, I took the boxes up to the office and then Gus and I walked down Congress Street. On the bridge, Gus looked for bats, but didn’t see any.
We originally were headed for a bakery that also sells dog treats, but when we got there, they had a sign that said no dogs are allowed inside. So we decided to keep walking to a new donut shop, The Salty Donut. It was the opening weekend for the shop, so we had to wait in line.
Once we got inside and ordered our donuts, we had to wait again for the donuts to be boxed up for us.
Gus was a very good boy during all the waiting.
Once we got our donuts, we headed back to the car. We decided to wait and eat the donuts when we got home so we could share with David, Kat, and Milton.
Once we were home, Gus was excited to dig into his doggie donut.
Everyone liked the donuts. The human donuts are a light brioche donut that was very good. Judging from how quickly all three pups ate their donuts, the dog ones were all yummy. I think Gus also enjoyed his break from Milton too!
