Happy Birthday Kat!

Today is Kat’s 13th birthday. We can hardly believe she is 13. I had the day off work so she had a great day of no-kennel time and we wrapped her leg so she could also have a day without having to wear her cone.

We started the day off with a morning walk. She loves walks.

Then we just hung around the house. She took advantage of not wearing her cone to nap on the couch.

Once David got home from work, we all got in the car and went for a 3-mile trail walk at the park. She loved that.

Once we got home, we celebrated with some cake and ice cream. Kat enjoyed the cake and loved the ice cream. Gus was also crazy excited for cake and ice cream.

Both pups exhibited strong patience before they dug into their treats.

We think Kat had a pretty happy birthday. Here’s to many more!

PS. This picture is from this morning while I was working out. It cracked me up how Gus rested his chin on Kat’s paw.
