Many of you may remember my BSF (best stuffie forever), Beaver, from previous blog posts. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to spend much time with him lately, because he was in Intensive Care (on top of the washing machine) awaiting surgery. Luckily, he was able to get in with our family surgeon, Dr. Mom, last week. I thought I'd share some images of his surgery. Warning though, some of the following images are graphic and may not be appropriate for puppies or kittens.
Here's a photograph of Beaver's injury. He had a cut right up his spine, but luckily he did not lose his squeaker or any of his fluff.
After Beaver was wheeled into surgery, I waited very anxiously for news on his progress.
Here is a photograph of him about halfway through his surgery. The poor guy hand to get a lot of stitches with that big needle.
Luckily he made it through with flying colors. Dr. Mom let me see him right away and I cradled him in my arms while he was waking up from surgery.
He's back to being good as new and we've been hanging out in the living room. It's his favorite spot in the house.
