It’s a moving catchup post

Now that we’re getting settled into the new house, I decided I need to catch up on some posts about our move. It was Kat’s seventh move, so she took the moving chaos like a champ. It was Gus’s first move and he seemed a lot more bothered by it. He’s settled into a new routine at the new house now and is back to normal.

We borrowed David’s dad’s pickup and took full advantage of both vehicles for maximum loads.

One of the first things we moved was the precious Cobra kit. It’s safe and sound in its new home in David’s shop.  (The frame is behind the body in this picture.)

David finally settled on a lawn mower. Despite all the suggestions to get a zero turn, he decided to get a regular mower. For the price, he was able to get the one with the better engine than what comes on the zero turn. It’s been so dry that he’s only had to mow once.

We also got the mow strip done. It looks really nice and will hopefully keep two puppies contained quite well. The head guy from the fence company asked what we do to our dogs to make them want to escape so badly. I said just giving them lots of treats, cuddles, and air conditioning!  Here you can see the mow strip under the fence. (Also Gus staring longingly at a bird on the other side of the fence.)

I think that is everything with the move. We’ve had some fun with visitors over the past several weekends, but I’ll save those posts for another day.
