Hiking in Shenandoah

by Valerie Barker

One of the organizations Mom is in at the law school is the environmental law group.  A couple weeks ago, the group went hiking in the Shenandoah National Park, and because Steve and I are also going to law school (by being Mom's support team), we decided to go too.

It was a really fun hike.  There were leaves all over the ground and multiple streams that we had to cross, so we could cool off and get a nice, cool drink.  The trail was also nice and wide.

We stopped to pose for a picture in a stream.

And of course, I had to take the opportunity to show Mom that even though she reads too much and ignores me too much, I still love her.

Steve and I were both very tired when we got back to the car.  Dad gave us a snack though, so that made it worth it.
